This is Ponty Mython's first appearance on the Swedish Brandy Productions label. Expect a wicked five tracker of dirty lo-fi sounding deep house grooves packed with samples and sturdy analogue bass lines (including the digi only bonus track 'In the Hood'). Vilnius based Dj and producer Aleksandr Pletnev aka Ponty Mython is known for his many outstanding releases on labels such as Tusk Wax, No More Hits, Dirt Crew, Quintessentials and many more. The title track 'I Wish' starts of the EP with it's deep and fumy organ chords combined with filtered hats, clever vocal samples and harsh bass lines. Next up on the A side you will find the pumping head nodder 'Holly FM'. Swinging hats, guitar stabs, smooth pads with a simple but effective hook on top. The B side starts off with the slightly minimal track 'Keep On Using Me' (Brother). This one with grim beats, organ pads, off beats punching in and out as the track steady builds with a rock solid perfectly tweaked bass. The last minutes on the B side is reserved for the dreamy yet hard hitting and raw gem 'New Toys'. Pure basement love.
